Estimator - LV Commercial/Multi-Family

 Responsibilities: 

  • Estimating
    • Review proposal bid outlines, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work.
    • Identify exclusions, alternates and introduce clarifications and recommendations when necessary.
    • Preform takeoffs and prepare estimates; utilize computer estimating system.
    • Compile and review all required bid submittal documents for accuracy and completeness.
    • Schedule and attend jobsite walkthroughs with general contractors and customers to establish specific project requirements and create drawings.
    • Maintain working documents for bids and projects.
    • Identify and request sub-contractor bids when needed.
    • Coordinate with other divisions on bid requests and due dates to prioritize estimates.
    • Create estimates for field change orders.
    • Update and organize EMB database to accurately reflect currently used product with up-to-date prices and labor rates.
    • Create and maintain a LV specific Job template to be used for all Low Voltage proposals.
    • Review recently completed projects to compare estimated labor to actual completed labor.
    • Update labor rates on components for future accuracy.
  • Other Duties as Assigned
    • Project Management as Needed

 Requirements:

  • 3+ Years of Estimating Experience (Required) (Low Voltage Industry Preferred)
  • 3+ Years of Low Voltage Design and Installation (Preferred)
  • Experience using EBM Bidding Software (Preferred)
  • Ability to Read & Understand Construction Documents
  • Highly Motivated, Self-Starter
  • Aligns with the Company’s Core Values
  • Strong Organizational, Planning and Time Management Skills
  • Proficient Computer Skills
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Passes a Drug Screening
